Scope and Content
The collection, dated 1951-1968, contains personal correspondence, clippings,
and printed material. Charles Edison lived in the Waldorf Astoria Towers for over
twenty years. As neighbors Mr. Edison and Mr. Hoover played cards and knew each
other intimately. These papers reflect their friendly, intimate type association.
The bulk of the clippings pertain to Herbert Hoover's illness and
funeral and the entire printed material pertains to Herbert Hoover.
